Sunrise

Every morning while I walk to work, millions of thoughts and details are rushing around in my head.

But right when I look up and see the beautiful sunrise, everything feels right with the world.

Things will work out.

My life is good.

And I am grateful God made sunrises.

New Perspective

I'll be the first to admit that I get stuck in ruts,

times where nothing goes right.

And then there are times when someone will say something,

you'll hear something,

you'll see something.

And your perspective will entirely change.

I am grateful for the gospel in my life,

I am blessed.

my baby sister graduated from high school!

I am SO proud of her!

 

she technically hasnt been at school for five months because she has been working.

and working.

and working some more.

in the fall she leaves for BYU-I-do

she will be missed!

There are many things in life that I adore doing! 

But one of my favorites is photography!

"...then i'll be happy"

"What does it mean to be happy? I actually ponder this question quite frequently. Have you ever noticed yourself saying the words.."Well when he gets this new job or once I'm dating someone or as long as our wedding is in june....then I'll be happy." Happiness is a journey not a destination. And as easy as those words sound, I agree. We decide for ourselves when we want to put on a grin and bear it. Life is hard and I'm not denouncing that in any way, but we have a choice. We can make that decision today. Right now.

Some of you know that I am a very avid journal writer. I do it because of the memories and things I can look back on. I found this entry a couple days ago that I wanted to share:

August 22nd 2010,
"My excitement is still soaring except for the thoughts that fly through my head, asking me when I will find the time?!? This year I'm involved in Student Gov, Yearbook, Volleyball and a lot of stressful classes. Luckily I got this huge planner to keep track of everything. My life has been good and a lot happier since I realized how completely happy I am. (insert smiley face). My goal now is to be joyful with myself in the way that...even if I am all alone, I am still important. I want to believe that through and through. ""Our thoughts become our words and our words become our actions and our actions create habits and our habits make our character and our character creates our destiny."" How deep is that?! So in doing everything, I'm creating ME and ME is amazing. To fully believe that..would be heaven."

Excited

I have been thinking so much lately of the future and what it might bring! I am nervous and slightly terrified but also excited. There is a whole world out there just waiting for me to become part of it.
