Re-Record.

There is something inside each of us, calling us by name.
It's a voice that wants to be heard.
Some say it's a conscience, while others refer to it as our inner person or child.

I think this voice inside my head is an opera singer. And a loud one.
Everything I do or say seems to have consequences that I can never forget.
Constantly, the screeching voice is reminding me of my past mistakes.

What an annoying way to live.
So I have decided to sing over the noise and to re-record.
But this time, it's a smooth, silky, deep man voice.

He's singing to me that it's going to be alright.
That it is not the end.
This time around, my voice is strong and only positive.

This re-recorded voice is calming.
Is peaceful.
Is wonderful.

I think it's time to play this new tune. And never, ever stop.

Update On Life

There has been soooo much going on.
This is my fabulous, wonderful and fantastic mentor group.
I honestly have no idea where I would be without them.
Also, ^ is HILARIOUS.
This is my BFFFFFFFFF Shreya.
And yes, we can do the double downward dog together in yoga class.
These sweetie pies are why I keep going.
Life is so, so good.

New Perspective

I'll be the first to admit that I get stuck in ruts,
times where nothing goes right.
And then there are times when someone will say something,
you'll hear something,
you'll see something.
And your perspective will entirely change.
I am grateful for the gospel in my life,
I am blessed.

I love how she can do anything she puts her mind to.
I love that she understands me in a way that no one else can.
I love that she always brightens my day and can make me laugh.
(pig tied to a tire...)
I love her beautiful face and GREAT personality.
I love the adventures we go on.
I love how she is genuine and herself in any circumstance.
I love how thoughtful she is of others.
I love how loyal she is.
I love how much she cares for her family and friends.
(aka me.)
I love how she is such a positive, uplifting spirit that God sent to this earth.

Precious and Sweet

It takes a long time to grow an old friend.
This topic is really personal to me because I have always relied on my friends for support and confidence. But my senior year of high school, I had no close friends. I realized the benefits of having a close friend and partner in crime. Another thing I realized is that time changes you.
People move on.
Things change.
Love can fade.
Best friends can become sweet memories of the past.
Appreciate the moments!! You never know when they will be swept away from you.
Hold a true friend with both hands.
And hang on tight.

"But friendship is precious, not only in the shade, but in the sunshine of life, and thanks to a benevolent arrangement the greater part of life is sunshine."

My Bucket is Full

Inspired by a dear friend.
I've always loved the idea of having a bucket list.
Something that is attainable and believable.
On August 2, 2010... KayKay and I made our BL's.
And this is/was mine:
-Go to all the LDS temples in the world
-Get kissed in the rain
-Marry my soulmate for eternity
-Meet the Pope
-Swim with dolphins
-See a duckbill platypus
-Get a puppy as a present (with a big red bow)
-Adopt children.
-Ride a giraffe
-Raise a chicken egg
-Catch a fish with my bare hands
-Donate my blood (DID it! Nov 2010)
-Have a child be named after me
-Ride on a train
-See the white house in Washington D.C.
-Touch a corpse

Isn't it interesting the things that are important to us at certain times in our lives?! I love thinking about it.

What kind of things are on your bucket list?!

Stand up 8

"Fall down seven times, stand up eight"
This proverb has stuck with me throughout my entire life.
What a great example.
Today while I was blog stalking, I came across a cancer patients blog.
A girl my age.
Reading through her posts was like an awakening for my own life.
I cried and cried while reading and felt almost ridiculous cause I didn't even know this girl.
But I understood her struggles.
No, I don't have cancer.
But I've felt pain.
I've broken bones.
I've lost loved ones.
I've gone through trials.
I haven't wanted to wake up in the morning.
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning"

Life is tough.
Life is unsatisfying at times.
Life is complicated.
Life is lonely.
Life is sweet.
Life is full.
Life is a dream.
Life is growth.
Life is forgiveness.
Life is trials.
Life is JOY.
Life is.
