These People I Know.

There are a lot of people in this world
but thankfully, God gave me my friends.
I have no idea where I would be without my mexican soul sister.
we've had a few good times, I guess.
My mentoring group is my soul support at college.
I'd probably be headed for a math degree or ever worse, without them.
MY DEAREST KAKA got engaged.
To her best friend and lover.
Ahhh how happy I am for her.
Oh Little Black Foot.
Oh Netty Nut.
No words could ever fully express my appreciation for you in my life.

Word Barf.

There is so much on my mind that i seriously don't know where to start.
;aldsfjkasldkfjasldkfbnabsdf

In case you didn't see my previous post, I'm moving to Boston.
I need to pack/clean out everything/pack some more.
I need to get my wisdom teeth taken out.
I need to buy my airline ticket.
I need to bribe my Dad to buy it for me.
I need to say good-bye to everyone.
I need to cry about leaving.
Cause I haven't yet, and it feels like it's stuck inside me.
Weird, I know.

I'm such an addictive personality.
I seriously wonder what is wrong with me at times...
The Bachelorette, Psych, Monk, Lie to me, Quantum Leap..
You name it, I've been addicted.

Levi left this morning/afternoon for the MTC.
I'm SUPER proud of him, but sad that he'll be gone.
BUT! Before he left, we got to go to the temple and he confirm/baptized me!
I have always loved going to the temple with him.

I LOVE TO LAUGH.
Everytime I can make someone laugh, or visa versa, my WHOLE day is 100x better.
I made my grandma do the "snort" laugh (you know what i'm talking about?)
and I loved it! I miss her a TON.
Even if she doesn't want me to marry a Mexican or black man.

My friends are amazing.
Every single one.
I am overly blessed.
Sometimes I wonder, "Would I be MY friend if I wasn't me?"
Does that make sense?
Every part of my personality can come to life with different individuals!
My Psych Buddy.
My Teacher of Greatness.
My All-Day-Everyday-and-Still-Loving-it Sister.
My Secret Lover. (you know who you are..Mykaka)
I am just SOOOOOOO grateful for my friends.

Obsessed

Since the first day of 8th grade,
I knew I wanted this black girl to be my best friend.
And... I usually get what I want :)
From the beginning,
we have been through everything.
literally..
EVERYTHING.
She makes me laugh harder than anyone in the entire world.
(and that's a lot of people!)
Thanks my dearest friend.
You are fabulous.
GRACIAS.

Pennies for Plasma

When I was born,
(19 years ago from tomorrow)
There were many complications and my mother almost died.
But because of 4 pints of a blood transfusion from members of my families ward,
She lived.
And I did as well.

Today I had the privilege to save lives.
I donated my plasma.
It was a very rigorous process, but in the end, I felt extremely thankful to my Heavenly Father.
We are SO SO blessed.
How much do we take for granted?

"An ounce of blood is worth more than a pound of friendship." -Spanish Proverb

Papa Dog

Today i kept a secret!
I surprised my Dad by giving a Father's Day talk during church.
I wrote it this morning and was running late for church, but everything worked out perfectly.
and I wasn't even nervous.
This is right when I was born
Kendra and I along with Daddy.
(a lot of our pictures look like this!)
My Dad and I...
All grown up and going to Prom.

Thanks Dad for being one in a million.
I owe everything to you.
I'm glad I was lucky enough to have YOU as a father.
I love you.

wOw mOm

Sometimes I take life for granted. Actually, all the time. I wake up, brush my teeth, curl my hair, put on some makeup then go out the door to what I consider "freedom." It's not really habit for me to clean up my room or wash a few dishes before leaving the house. And I've been thinking about this a lot in terms of my mom. She has put up with me for almost 19 years. She has listened, talked, sang, cried, laughed, slept, hugged, and cared for me with practically nothing in return. How selfish am I?! And how UN-selfish is my mother?! I know that Mothers day was last month, but I want to spend today thanking my mother and all that she has ever done for me. Wow Mom. You are truly the best. Thanks thanks thanks.

April Showers bring May Flowers

Aloha world.
So much has been on my mind, but especially gratitude. I am SO thankful for so much.
I am thankful that I could be an instrument in God's hands to serve others.
I am even grateful for the trials. I am who I am because of them. And the coolest part, is not feeling bitter, just grateful.
Brigham Young said: "There is not a single condition of life and not one hour's experience but what it is beneficial to all those who it their study, and aim to improve upon the experience they gain."
God is in the details of our lives and knows us perfectly. I just want to make him proud.
Sorry this has been kind of random, but I'm just.... thankful.

"Praise the bridge that carried you over"

grat·i·tude

[grat-i-tood, -tyood] –nounthe quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful: He expressed his gratitude to everyone on the staff.How often do we realize all the many blessings in life that God has given us?I sure don't! Throughout the entire day, how much is spent in gratitude?Realizing that my heart is most thankful near turkey cutting day has been dis-heartening.In light of my soon to be given talk in church, I would like to express my appreciativeness!
  • Sunshine, I am SO grateful for the light it shares to our world.
  • Music! The number one thing that brings me to tears and I love it
  • Family. You know every flaw, yet its okay. You love them no matter what and when you die and go to Heaven, who do you want by your side? I want my sisters.
  • Photography! To be able to self-express what I'm seeing... it just brings joy!
  • Reading. I'm grateful for being able to read and learn. I LOVE books.
  • Religion. I would be no where without my love of the gospel and knowledge of the plan of salvation. I know God is always watching over me.
  • Holiday! To celebrate what life is truly about, the good times!
  • School. Yes. As much as it pains me to admit it, I am going to miss high school. You automatically feel safe in high school. I know where I stand with everyone, I know the system, and I'm appreciated. Sure... I want to be done with it. But on the other hand... I'm terrified for the future. But I am grateful for the past. and present.
  • Last but not least! I am grateful for....myself. I know that can sound a tad strange but i've been really thinking about it. Without my personality, I would be a walking zombie with no purpose in life. I always seem to see only my flaws. But at the beginning of the day...when I walk out the door...I'm happy to know that my outfit matches, my teeth are brushed and my hair is curled. I am who I am. And I love me.
What are you grateful for? Just think about it..
