Beastly

I watched this trailer... eight or nine times I think.
I don't really know why.
But I want to see it.

Despair.com

I know I haven't blogged in a while and I think that might refer back to the fact... I don't feel like I have anything to blog about. My constant struggle for perfection and happiness in my religion can make only so many blog posts. Yet here I am, blogging again. I think it might be an addiction. Ha

$plurge.

Luann - May 8, 1997

There's a yin for every yang.

Listen, little buddy, there's a yin for every yang. If there's bad, good will rise against it. It took me a long time to find my calling. Now it's time you found yours...
DESTINY.

What a crazy word for such an intense meaning on what it could be.
Like usual, I have been thinking and pondering about what I am supposed to do in my life. One thing that I would like to point out... I love life. God's greatest gift to all of us is the chance to be on this earth, to learn and grow while helping others. My purpose in life= "To serve myself, God and others."
What is yours?
I ended up going to a women's conference today at BYU that captured my attention from start to finish. We talked a lot about passion in one of our break-out classes and how interesting it was to me that everyone is so similar, yet unique in their passions. Lots of people do things to feel good and to help others feel good. That seems to be the basic undertone for most of the 'passions' shared today. I guess I want to do whatever I'm supposed to do. Whatever God wants of me. To turn my complete will over to him is maybe when i'll finally feel free. Does that even make sense?

Faces of Me

Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.
-Mother Teresa

An eye can threaten like a loaded and levelled gun, or it can insult like hissing or kicking; or, in its altered mood, by beams of kindness, it can make the heart dance for joy.... One of the most wonderful things in nature is a glance of the eye; it transcends speech; it is the bodily symbol of identity.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

I have never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful.
A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.

Ecstatic Part2

I don't think I did my last post justice.
NOTHING has ever been this.. fulfilling in my entire life.
A dream has actually COME TRUE.
My whole life I have spent being stressed, overwhelmed and OCD about my grades.
And it has paid off!
The funniest part is.. I never believed that it actually WOULD pay off.
If I could only describe my feelings of enthusiasm. of complete JOY.
Gratitude is surrounding my entire being because god cares about me.
He knew EXACTLY what I needed, what I wanted and here it is.
I'm crying from .. complete happiness. No words can even come close to how I feel.
I am accepted to Southern Virgina University.
Yeah, you heard that right. ME. KELSEY ANNE.
It's 1:00 in the morning and I'm grinning from the inside out.
My cheeks hurt.
Because I am amazing and can do anything I put my mind to, with god's help.
THANK YOU.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mmm I'm loving it.

So I think it could be very difficult to watch a sporting event that doesn't make any sense. And yet, TONS of people do it. Recently I have been involving myself with a sport that I truly, deeply enjoy. BASKETBALL. I think playing it is great.. BUT I think it is almost 1000x more entertaining to cheer on a team or keep score. Sounds crazy I know but I think playing basketball on a team was only the first step for me. I can now appreciate all the hard work and dedication that players have to go through to perform at their maximum each game. Also I love being responsible for the basketball teams at my school. It's a caring role that I pride myself in fulfilling nicely. Maybe someday I could manage a team professionally or something to that effect because it really brings me to life. Tonight, Kendra and I went to watch some city league games and stayed for THREE HOURS just to continue watching the boys play. Together we had so much fun cheering and since she understands what is happening it is super fun. My favorite thing that boys do = wear shooting warmers. Funniest invention of mankind and I love it. The sweat, the cheers, the fouls and even the stupid ref's can make basketball come to life in a way that nothing else becomes so real to me. Mmmmm I love it.
