40%

This is going to be a really random post, I can feel it. So beware. But... I asked a dear friend, "Out of 100% of your whole person, how much percent do I know you?" (Weird question, I know, but that's just me.) They replied..."Ohh, probably 40%." I was shocked, and I'll admit, a little hurt. In my mind, I felt it was closer to maybe 80% or at the very least, 60%. But it got me thinking... Our past, present & even future will all make up our entire 100% and ..well...that's a lot of information. Every little thought, every experience.. It would be hard, well impossible to know 100% of the entire being/soul of an individual. But it also got me thinking, God knows us 100%. And I repeat:  God knows us 100%.. How cool is that? Every single thing about our entire lives, God knows it all. If you think of the people closest to you, those that you trust, how much do they know about you? And how often do you turn to them instead of God? Just putting that out there. Lately, my life feels like an emotional teenage soap opera. Well, not quite, but it has been a tad rough with all the decisions I've been needing to make. I'm trying to turn to my 100% best friend but sometimes friends don't tell you all the answers. They just support you in what your choices are and stand by your side. The best ship is friendship. And guess what guys, God is the safest ship you could ever find. And the bestest friend as well.

Parentals.

I didn't think I would be saying this, but I kind of miss my parents.
I miss noise in the house. I miss my sisters.
Or I just hate being alone for three days.
But either way, I love my family.

Yesterday was Obnette's 19th Birthday
And boy, was I stressed! But I'm pretty sure she had a good day
First off.. My parents left for "Trek" which means they woke me up at 5:00am
I didn't have a chance to go back to sleep because I had to get everything ready for Obnette's birthday
Step by step:
1) Strawberry waffles + whip cream
2) Spa day!
3) Watched "Just Like Heaven" to pass the time until
4) Picnic + blindfold
5) BYU campus with a frisbee
6) Sammies and losing at croquet
7) Cake + ice-cream
8) Scary movie! (It's tradition)
9) Took Sam home before...
10) Midnight showing of "Super 8" (sooo intense!)
11) Took everyone home
12) I stopped @ RedBox
13) I stayed up till 5:15am
Making it a 24hour day.

Brisbane...

So lately... the only thing that has been on my mind is becoming a Nanny and moving as far away as I can. Not that I dislike my family and friends. Actually it's quite the opposite. But I really want to.. fly out of the nest and see where life takes me.
Any-who. The number one position right now that I am interested in... Is in Brisbane, Australia! How many of you just thought of Hugh Jackman?! hahaha
The family consists of three girls, where I would be acting as their older sister.
But there is a slight problem, they need a nanny ASAP and I need to get a passport....
Which can take awhile. I'm kind of fighting a battle within myself to either:
A) Work my butt off to earn money for a passport and hopefully they'll still pick me
B) Wait for something better/different to come along.
I was a lot more worked up about it before, but luckily, I got a blessing by my papa dog.
So I feel x10000000 better.
It will all work out either way. And God... he's kind of funny and knows exactly what he's doing!

wOw mOm

Sometimes I take life for granted. Actually, all the time. I wake up, brush my teeth, curl my hair, put on some makeup then go out the door to what I consider "freedom." It's not really habit for me to clean up my room or wash a few dishes before leaving the house. And I've been thinking about this a lot in terms of my mom. She has put up with me for almost 19 years. She has listened, talked, sang, cried, laughed, slept, hugged, and cared for me with practically nothing in return. How selfish am I?! And how UN-selfish is my mother?! I know that Mothers day was last month, but I want to spend today thanking my mother and all that she has ever done for me. Wow Mom. You are truly the best. Thanks thanks thanks.

Wanna go toilet papering with me?

Have you seen KID HISTORY???
Soooo a long story short; Small children are telling a story and adults are acting it out.
It's way funny.
BUT..The funniest part.. is all the perfect quotes.
There are many funny lines
and you can't help but to repeat them.
ALL THE TIME.
And wanna know something awesome... is Julian Smith.
and Nacho Libre
and Megamind
and She's the Man.
I love all of them.
So if you ever feel like you are bored to death and need something to do
Watch those movies and learn some quotes!! woot woot

P.S. I put all these cute pictures up of me and everyone cause...well there isn't really a reason. But i'm grateful for great friends. Gracias.

Eye of the Beholder

"A picture is a poem without words"
I've been realizing something..
What you see is a reflection on who you are.
Have you ever thought of it like that?
I sure haven't.
But our past experiences, memories, dreams, events and situations all lead us to
be us.
This picture ^ I love.
Photography.. I love.
It's weird to describe it.
But everything I see, I want to capture, but I want to do it justice.
Have you ever seen a BEAUTIFUL sunset, but when you take a picture of it..
It stinks?
You gotta do the picture justice.
"All art is but imitation of nature."
I believe that photography is art.
But an imitation for sure of all the wondrous things out there.
My favorite things to take pictures of is.... PEOPLE.
They are always changing and certain moments can only be captured once.
I keep doing really random posts, but I feel random.
unplanned.
irregular
casual
kind of... driftless.
But that's okay.
Right?

April Showers bring May Flowers

Aloha world.
So much has been on my mind, but especially gratitude. I am SO thankful for so much.
I am thankful that I could be an instrument in God's hands to serve others.
I am even grateful for the trials. I am who I am because of them. And the coolest part, is not feeling bitter, just grateful.
Brigham Young said: "There is not a single condition of life and not one hour's experience but what it is beneficial to all those who it their study, and aim to improve upon the experience they gain."
God is in the details of our lives and knows us perfectly. I just want to make him proud.
Sorry this has been kind of random, but I'm just.... thankful.
